Pee Wee oakleaf hydrangea is an outstanding summer-blooming deciduous shrub for a partly shady to sunny garden. This charming diminutive cultivar fills a much needed multi-season role in smaller gardens, growing to a manageable 5′ tall with attractive displays of small, white, cone-shaped panicles of flowers. In addition to summer flowering appeal, it also produces a pleasing combination of yellow, orange, red, and purple-colored foliage in November. In winter, the coarse branching structure and cinnamon-colored exfoliating bark of this cultivar provides lasting character.
