Peony Duchesse de Nemours was introduced in 1856; its loose, double flowers are perfect for cutting and its fragrance, likened to that of lily of the valley, made it a huge hit then. The Duchesse is still popular. A vigorous variety, a long bloomer with lots of side buds and a beauty. Grows 30" tall by 30" wide with age. Blooms in May.
Huge 2 year old plants in 2 gallon sized plants.
Best in full sun.
