Wood's Light Blue’ Aster paints the garden with purple-blue blooms from late summer through fall. The low mounding foliage of this compact native perennial is nearly covered with blossoms, providing an important source of late-season nectar and pollen for bees and butterflies. This deer-resistant and mildew-resistant beauty looks lovely massed along borders and makes an excellent cut flower or container planting. (Symphyotrichum dumosum)
