This plant is one of the most popular campanulas. Its stiff mat of slowly spreading evergreen rosettes is topped by 3-foot-tall, all open, bell-shaped lavender flowers in late spring.
Grow in full sun or partial shade and fertile, moist but well-drained soil with a neutral to alkaline pH. Responds well to cutting back to promote new growth and a second wave of flowering.
